A luxury hotel was attacked by
terrorists and everyone inside the hotel were taken as hostages. As per
reports at least 22 Indians were inside that hotel along with 150 other
people. The Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako was evacuated immediately.
Military
rushed to the spot and the government tried to gain the control. The
gun firing becan after the special forces blocked all the exit points.
Due to this firing incident at least 27 people were dead.
As
per local television sources, jihadist group Al-Murabitoun has claimed
responsibility. This attack has added more fears as it is not even more
than one week after the Paris terror attacks.
The
attack follows a hotel siege in August in the central Mali town of
Sevare in which five UN workers were killed along with four soldiers and
four attackers.Mali's President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has condemned
the terrorist attack. He came back and cancelled his trip for the
summit.
