Oklahoma police find remains of 6 people in lake missing since 1969
The
police in Oklahoma, US, have identified the remains of six people who
have been missing since 1969-70 inside two cars submersed a lake.
The bodies were recovered from a 1952 Chevrolet and 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in September 2013 from Foss Lake, about 100 miles west of Oklahoma City.
DNA tests were used to identify the remains.
The cause of deaths were determined to be probable accidental drowning.
"It's been a crazy year; it's been a blessed year. It's been a relief. It's been closure," Debbie McManaman, one of the victims' granddaughter, told the police last month when his remains were identified.
Debbie was 13 when her grandfather vanished while driving his truck.
"Any trace or any thought that anybody would have, we were looking. We never gave up hope, never gave up hope," 13wmaz.com quoted her as saying.
