The North Monsoon rains has made huge
havoc on day to day lives. The incessant downpour has even slowed the
rescue operations down. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu
Naidu even though ready with relief measures and rescue operations
couldn't avoid the disaster.
Now he has
has asked the TDP lawmakers to make necessary initiatives to get funds
from the centre for relief and rehabilitation works in the rain affected
areas. As per reports the loss is expected to be around 1300 Crores and
the AP Government has sought Rs.1000 Crores as immediate relief fund
from the centre.
Naidu was heading to
meeting with Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha law makers of his party. He is
also taking a look a the stock market and he is provided reports on the
rehabilitation works.
The downpour
still continues in Chittoor, Nellore, Kadapa and Anantapur districts of
coastal Andhra. So far 35 lives have been lost due to these rains. It
has to be noted that recently the central government provided Rs.940
Crores to Tamil Nadu for flood relief funds.
