After completing his tour of Malaysia,
Modi has arrived in Singapore. He has arrived Singapore earlier today
and this is his last leg of visit during the four day tour to South-east
Asia. He is scheduled to deliver the 37th Singapore Lecture on 'India's
Singapore Story' by late evening today.
This
is organized by Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISAS) and this
lecture is one of the highly expected one. The ISAS website has stated,
"It is designed to provide an opportunity for distinguished statesmen
and leaders of thought and knowledge to reach a wider audience in
Singapore."
Today morning Modi had
talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and it was said some
agreement was made between both the countries. Modi and his Malaysian
part inaugurated Torana Gate which is a traditional gateway to Hindu and
Buddhist temples, at Bricksfield locality in Kuala Lumpur.
It
is fondly called as Little India. On Saturday, Modi attended 13th ASEAN
(Association of Southeast Asian Nations) summit and he also had
meetings with Chinese Prime Minister.
