Aamir Khan while speaking at Ramnath
Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards said that the intolerance has
been growing in the nation and he and his wife Kiran Rao decided to
leave the country. This was badly criticized by most of them. He earned
wrath of millions of people.
In this
case, he endorses the e-commerce app snapdeal. Most of them have delted
the app to show their protest while the rest have rated the app with one
star. Snapdeal today said the comments were made by the actor "in his
personal capacity" and the firm is "no way connected" with them.
In
a press statement from Snapdeal, "Snapdeal is not connected in any way
with Aamir Khan's statements. It is his personal capacity. We are proud
Indian company built by passionate young Indians focused on building an
inclusive digital India."
However
netizens on social media are showing the rage against the app. A tweet
from a social media person read as, "Dear @snapdeal I will not purchase
anything from you until you remove @aamir_khan as brand ambassador. Will
boycott #AamirKhan movies"
