In
politics there are no permanent enemies or friends. But some statements
always create sensation. Right after the crushing defeat of its party
candidate in Warangal by elections for lok sabha, senior Congress
leader, Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy came with shocking
statements.
He said for the
2019 assembly elections to come to power in Telangana, his party will
forge strong alliance with Chandra Babu Naidu's TDP. He added that
nothing was lost even when Congress lost Warangal elections.
This
came as a shocker since TDP itself was formed on strong anti Congress
sentiment and it cannot dilute its anti congress stand. TDP since its
formation always forged alliances with parties who fought against
Congress at state as well as Centre.
Sukhender
Reddy failed to explain on how alliance between Sonia Gandhi's Congress
and Chandra Babu's TDP which is an ally of PM Modi's BJP can turn into a
reality. Before Warangal elections some speculated on TDP-TRS entering
into an alliance as neither Chandra Babu and nor his son Lokesh
campaigned while KCR campaigned once.
Both TDP
and TRS leaders shared good bonhomie before the elections. KCR too
didnot criticise Chandra Babu in the election campaigning and if this
continues Congress will be wiped out completely before 2019.
