Seems Air India often gets the spot
light. Few minutes back we reported that the Air India snatched boarding
passes of 19 students and forced them to stay for three hours. The news
went viral on social media. Now once again, the Airlines is in head
lines.
An Air India pilot refused to
allow Kerala governor P.Sathasivam to board a Kochi-Thiruvananthapuram
flight as he turned up so late. However the Governor's office said he
reached airport 10 minutes earlier and the flight was scheduled for
departure by 10.40pm from Kochi airport.
But
the pilot was blunt and he said that he cannot accommodate the Governor
as the boarding was over. Officials accompanying the governor tried to
intervene but the pilot didn’t budge and this forced the Governor to
stay at the guest house in Kochi. Later he took a morning flight and
reached Trivandrum.
The governor’s
office said it has lodged a complaint with Air India and Aviation
Ministry. But so far no officials have responded to this complaint. We
hear from reports that, the AI 408 flight was scheduled to take off at
9.15 pm but was delayed till 10.45 pm.
