Hospitals go against Luxury Tax
The Telangana Super Specialty Hospitals Association (TESHA) and Telangana Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (THANA) are going to fight against the introduction of 10% luxury tax on private hospitals.

Even though things are not well between TESHA and THANA, they have joined together to press the strike button over the resentments. Regarding this, Dr.A.V.Guruva Reddy who is president of TESHA and MD of Sunshine Hospitals said, "We have been paying Luxury tax from 1990.

That is the inception of Luxury tax. But instead of helping they make a negative impact and I am sure Hyderabad will lose its shine as a medical destination. All 12 members of THANA have not been able to start the Employee Health Insurance Scheme yet as the state has not favourably agreed to their demands. Later TNGO leaders said,

"This has forced 2.5 Lakhs Telangana NonGazetted Officers (TNGO) and Telangana Gazetted Officers (TGO) association members and their families to grow restless as almost 80% of them prefer to get treatments in leading corporate hospitals."
