Well the stage was all set on Sunday
morning for one more round of bonhomie between the chief ministers of
TS and Andhra Pradesh. Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was
expected to meet his AP counterpart, who was then in Hyderabad for
inviting to his Ayuta Chandi Yagam to be held later in December.
Sources say everyone was sure of this politically significant meeting on Sunday
morning but then came the denial that meeting won’t happen. Electoral
politics linked to the upcoming GHMC polls clearly seems to be playing a
key role in preventing this meeting between the two chief ministers.
Sources
from leaders of their parties had advised KCR and Naidu against their
meeting in Hyderabad, which they considered as detrimental for their
respective chances in GHMC polls. Also Telangana TDP leaders are
advising Naidu not to attend the Ayuta Chandi Yagam.
TRS
leaders are also against KCR inviting Naidu to this Yagam saying that
TDP may be taking political advantage of Chandrababu Naidu attending
KCR's Yagam. TRS leaders feel that KCR might send a senior minister to
Vijayawada to invite Naidu next week. They feel that as per custom one
should visit their home to invite and since Hyderabad is not Naidu's
home they will invite him in Vijayawada.
