Venkayya Naidu is getting worried increasingly over his Rajya Sabha
re-nomination. A three time MP from Rajya Sabha, sources say that the
BJP is not that keen on fielding him again for a fourth term as part of
its current policy.Even in case they make an exception exclusively for Venkayya Naidu, the problem is that where should this veteran Nellore politician actually seek re-nomination from? He is representing Karnataka currently but in a changed political scenario, Karnataka can no longer re-elect them.
In Andhra Pradesh, Nirmala Seetharaman is particular over seeking re-nomination. But in what is being seen as KCR’s attempt to re build bridges with the BJP and Chandrababu, he has reportedly offered Venkayya Naidu, a Rajya Sabha slot from Telangana.
Apparently, KCR seems to have praised that Venkayya is a national leader and he is free to seek re-nomination from Telangana from TRS quota and his victory can be a certainty. Well Venkayya Naidu may be on cloud nine in delight or he may be in tears too!
