In a weird hit and run accident, a 62
year old farmer has took his last breath. The incident took place at
Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway near Narketpally in Nalgonda district. The
weird thing is, after hitting the farmer, the driver raced the car and
moved swift without realizing that the body flew into air and landed on
the roof itself.
Immediately the locals
who watched this accident gave a chase behind the car. Few witnesses
alerted the police. The car number (AP 09 BY 2725) was provided to all
barricades and toll gates.
The Maruti
Ritz was stopped after 3 kms where police put up barricades. Two
Hyderabad based men who were driving the car were taken into police
custody. The victim was identified as Komarelli Venkat Reddy of
Narketpally.
Police said that he was
returning back after completing his works at field. The body remained on
the car roof and there was a bump. Police have filed a case and the
victim's family also registered a case against the car driver.
