Battle lines are drawn in the upcoming
GHMC elections in Telangana. Ruling TRS headed by CM KCR is leaving no
stone unturned to sweep the polls and assertain its supremacy.
Chandra Babu's TDP-BJP combine which is strong in the region is planning to give shock to TRS by winning in Hyderabad which is regarded the heart of Telangana.Congress party is hoping to get back its glory while Owaisi's MIM is planning to expand its wings.
In the midst of all this Jagan's YSRCP shocked all by opting out of GHMC elections. Same is the case with Pawan Kalyan's Janasena who decided not to make its election debut but support TDP-BJP comine.Even as all parties stepped up their campaigning all of them are fighting common enemy in form of rebel candidates.
All parties faced opposition from those who were denied tickets.TDP leaders protested against Revanth Reddy and Maganti Gopinath and many started resigning from the party. BJP's former MLA Premsingh Rathod resigned from the party while a Congress leader shocked all by attempting suicide in Gandhi Bhawan.TRS too is finding it difficult to contain rebels and it has to be seen how parties deal with rebel menace.
