India these days is a lot worried about
climatic change and the environmental conditions. The ruling party has
taken a major decision in order to provide clean energy. The major
decision by the Union cabinet was to approve Rs.5000 Crores subsidy for
rooftop solar power generation.
This is a
huge leap towards clean energy. The solar power generation will be
installed in leading institutions and houses. They will provide
renewable energy. The companies also ensure that customers can pay the
money easily.
This new scheme provides
30% to general category states and 70% to special category states. First
the North east sides will be given attention. Looking to fulfil India’s
commitment under the Paris climate agreement, the government has set an
ambitious target of generating 100,000 MW of electricity from solar
panels by 2022.
Even though government
is taking necessary steps, the people don't have more awareness towards
these solar roof tops. Setting up a 5 KV system capable of providing
electricity to a two-bedroom house with an air conditioner.
