External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj
today met Syrian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Walid Al
Moualem. Sources said that she discussed some issues which will be of
mutual interest to both the nations.
External
affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted along with a picture of
the two leaders. Another source said that Sushma spoke about various
factors related to the attack and Russian issue. Recently the Syrian
refugees became the talk of the town.
Mr.Al
Moulem came to India by Monday. He came on a 3 day visit. He will also
meet other Indian leaders. This visit is going to be of more importance
as some fresh initiatives are going to be taken by UN. In the war land
Syria, 300000 people were killed in past four years.
