Sources from Hyderabad have made a
statement that the Telugu Desam-led Andhra Pradesh government has
withdrawn 23 criminal cases against politicians belonging to the ruling
party after it came to power in 2014. Sources have stated that some
cases pertained to Samaikya Andhra movement and the government also
ordered withdrawing serious cases involving election offenses and other
illegal activities against its ministers, MLAs, and MLCs.

to sources the withdrawal of prosecution for Samaiky Andhra cases may
be justified, withdrawal of serious cases pertaining to election
offenses and other unlawful acts is now boiling into a major
controversy.
Moreover
the prominent among them are a case of molestation and hurt against
minister K. Atchannaidu and a case of attempt to murder against Minister
Ganta Srinivasa Rao have been withdrawn by the state government.
Besides Atchannaidu and Ganta, Deputy Chief Ministers KE Krishnamurthy
and N. Chinarajappa, Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, Ministers Devineni
Umamaheswara Rao, Kollu Ravindra, and Nakka Anand Babu were facing
