Nandyal sources have reported that
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.
Chandrababu Naidu is apparently trying every trick to win the Nandyal
by-elections as a defeat in this election would demoralize the party and
trigger an anti-establishment sentiment throughout the state.
Sources have stated that during his visit to Nandyal on Saturday, Naidu showered a bundle of sops for the voters and unveiled a slew of projects for the development of the poll-bound constituency. Obviously, with a view to pamper the media, Naidu announced the construction of three-bedroom houses for the journalists free of cost.
Meanwhile,
Chandrababu Naidu while participating in an Iftar party hosted by the
government at a whopping Rs90 lakh during the Ramzan month in Nandyal
had announced several schemes for Muslims. Forgetting the religious
importance of the occasion for Muslims, Chandrababu openly asked the
Muslims to vote for TDP's Nandyal by-poll candidate Brahmananda Reddy.
