The next time you go to McDonald's and buy a happy meal, double check the contents of the meal.
A McDonald's worker, Shania Dennis, was arrested on Wednesday by the Pittsburgh drug detectives on charges of selling heroin in Happy Meals.
The arrest came following information that the employee was selling the narcotics at a McDonald's outlet at 6361 Penn Avenue in the Bakery Square section of East Liberty.
As part of the modus operandi, the customers who were looking to buy heroin would go through the drive-thru and say, "I'd like to order a toy."
The customer would then be directed to another window for the transaction where they would be handed a Happy Meal box containing heroin.
Officers said that it was not known how long the racket had been going on prior to the arrest.
Upon arresting the employee, the police recovered 10 stamp bags of heroin inside a Happy Meal box and another 50 from the suspect.
