Anupam Kher the pioneer Bollywood actor who has
recently supported Shah Rukh Khan in the intolerance issue has arranged
a meeting with P M Narendra Modi on Saturday, soon after their protest
march. He was accompanied by other delegates who also opened up their
views against this issue.
In the
meeting, the crew has shown interest in protesting against the “Award
wapsi” campaign now trending among artists. As to show their protest
against this issue, they led a “March of India” on November 7, 2015.
Afterwards, Anupam met President Pranab Mukherjee and expressed concern
towards the Awardwapsi issue.
Anupam,
after the visit with Modi said that, the PM has listened to their words
and said the issue is harming the country. He also mentioned that PM’s
Office has invited Munna Rana, who has recently returned his Sahitya
Academy award.
By concluding Anupam said
the filmmakers and documentary makers should put an effort to meet PM
rather than waiting for the government to respond. Because when the
integrity of the nation is at stake, it is the responsibility for every
citizen.
