US President
Barack Obama said that Russia had to shift its focus from Syria. He also
said that they have to concentrate on the war against Islamic State.
President Vladimir Putin earlier said they will hunt down those
terrorists who blew up Russian Airliner.
To
his words, Obama made a fitting response. He said, "If in fact he
shifts his focus towards the main threat - and that is ISIL (Islamic
State) - that is something that we very much want to see."
Obama
said this during sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation
(APEC) summit in Manila. He further added, "That's not how they've been
operating over the last several weeks. It may be that now having seen
ISIL take down one of their airliners in a horrific accident, that
reorientation continues."
Obama further
confessed that he had discussions with Putin at the G20 summit in
Turkey and earlier at the United Nations in New York. Obama also
promised to have more talks with Moscow on regular intervals.
