The North-east monsoon has completely
shattered Tamil Nadu with incessant rains for past few days. Now the
rain is unleashing its fury in Andhra Pradesh where waters are surging
everywhere.
This is one of the heavy
rain fall in past few years. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu
Naidu is making reviews on the current situation and he is making
pre-liminary arrangements. Due to rains four children already lost their
lives. A wall collapsed in Kadapa district and it took away four
innocent lives.
We hear from sources
that Chief Minister had spoken to all district collectors through
teleconference and has made the necessary arrangements. The rescue teams
are in position already. Two helicopters from National Disaster
Response Force (NDRF) has already arrived from Chennai, Tamil Nadu to
rescue people in flooded areas.
Right
now around 500 Km of road has been damaged. Due to rains, heaps of
vehicles are stranded on the roads. Relief camps were also set up in
flood affected villages. In Tamil Nadu, CM has announced 500 Crores as
