Telangana TDP is now out of power for
more than a decade and for sure will have to spend half a decade more
warming the opposition benches. Further the party is withered by the two
eyes policy adopted by Chandrababu Naidu during the state bifurcation.
The party just managed a handful of seats in the 2014 elections and
again lost half of them to KCR's Akarsha program.
As
the party is battling these problems, the rifts between Revanth Reddy
and Errabelli Dayakara Rao is one more headache for the party. Amid all
these, the party is now suffering severe funds crunch. Despite the party
being in power in AP, the party high command is tightening the finances
for Telangana wing and clearly stated that they should independently
earn funds for their day to day expenses.
On the
other side, rich donors who usually give funds to political parties have
become mum as elections are still far away. Even then the funds will
not be on expected lines as they see TDP as losing horse. The senior
leaders are openly commenting that it will be very tough to manage the
party in these situations unless Chandrababu lends a helping hand.
