Supreme Court has refused to life ban
on the controversial bull taming sport. Lots of petitions were thrown
regarding the bull taming sport. Everyone asked to revoke the ban on the
sport. Petitioner argued that the game is part of Tamil pride and all
arrangements were made for the festival.
Animal
right activists however asked to stay with the ban. As state elections
are nearing in Tamil Nadu, all parties are urging the centre to conduct
the sport. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha has urged Prime
Minister Narendra Modi to grant permission immediately for the sport.

Leader Karunanidhi too made an appeal to the Prime Minister. Tamil Nadu
Government said, "Lots of safety measures are ensured and everything is
happening with certain rules.
The event
must be allowed." Supreme court turned down the plea and it said the
next matter will be heard only on March 15th.Protests are happening in
every nook and corner of Tamil Nadu with respect to this ban.
