Regarding the Pathankot attack, Home
Minister Rajnath Singh has said India is not having doubts on Pakistan.
He also said Pakistan should be given more time. Speaking to reporters,
Mr.Rajnath Singh said, "Since they have given an assurance to the Indian
government, we don't have any reason to doubt them, at least for now.
So
we should wait." Pakistani Officials have confirmed that the phone
numbers which India provided were not registered there. New Delhi has
said that Pakistan must take prompt action against those responsible for
the attack.
The attack took lives of
seven military personnel. Rajnath Singh further said, "Pakistan has
promised to take effective action. I think we need to wait. Those who
have harmed us will feel the pain.
The
time and place will be of our choice." Pakistan has announced talks
between the foreign secretaries of the two countries and this will take
place on 15th of January at Islamabad. It should be noted that this
attack happened just after a week Modi met Nawaz Shariff in Lahore.
