India signs a deal with Westinghouse to build more Nuclear reactors

India is sealing a deal with Westinghouse Electric Co LLC to build six nuclear reactors in the first half of next year. A senior Government Official confirmed the news. They said they have signed a deal worth $150 billion.

The power plant will be set up at Gujarat which is Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state. Apart from this India plans to build six more reactors and this will make India as the second-biggest nuclear energy market after China.

India wants to dramatically increase its nuclear capacity to 63000 megawatts (MW) by 2032 from 5780 MW and this is one of the ways to cut cost as well as the dangerous Greenhouse gas emissions. Recently during the Climate change meet at Paris, India promised to reduce the coal burn and avoid Greenhouse gas emissions.

This reactor can also make billions of dollars for India.  Nuclear Power Corp of India Ltd (NPCIL) is right now making all the arrangements. This is indeed a good thing for India as well as Future India.
