Chennai
Floods has finally take a rest and people have started to come out.
Rescue operations are being carried out in full swing. Most of them have
volunteered and they are providing groceries and other necessities to
Chennai.
Today Central Government has
sent more than 17 tonnes of snack items and 5000 liters of milk along
with 1 lakh water bottles. Everything was sent through military air
lines. Cabinet Secretary PK Sinha reviewed the flood situation and this
decision was finally taken during the meeting of National Crisis
Management Committee (NCMC).
This will
be sent as 5 columns and an army tank is also sent in order to reach the
inner flooded areas. An official statement read as,
"This
was decided at the meeting and based in reports from Tamil Nadu
Government, we have sent 7 tonnes of biscuits and 10 tonnes of noodles.
5,000 liters of milk area also sent with 1 lakh water bottles.
Everything is available in Chennai Municipal corporation." Sinhaa also
asked authorities to ensure that there is surpass amount of petroleum.
