There is a famous saying that unless
the nuts are tightened, things will not be the same. The Supreme court
ordered strict rules for road safety measures. Initially it was just a
matter of 100 bucks. But now it was clearly said that the license of the
person can be seized if they failed to obey road rules.
The
traffic police have seized 794 driving licenses on the first day
itself. The rule was implemented at once based on the Supreme Court.
Traffic police said that the maximum number of driving licenses were
seized for red light jumping and speeding.
Regarding
this, Special commissioner of Traffic, Mukesh Chander said the persons
whose license were seized cannot drive vehicle for next three months. He
said, "We have seized 368 licenses for crossing Red Light, 287 for
speeding and 66 for using mobile while driving.
We
also seized 57 license for carrying passengers in goods vehicles and 5
for drunk and drive. We also impounded 43 vehicles." Police started the
operations at C.Hexagon on Kasturba Gandhi Marg crossing.
