Indian Prime minister Modi went to
Russia on a two day visit to push strategic ties. And after meeting with
Russian President Vladimir Putin, Narendra Modi said to a Russian News
agency, "I am completely filled with enthusiasm that I am going to
friend's home.
I have the feeling of
visiting a friend's home. The feeling of oneness, emotions. I am feeling
that." Prime Minister Modi was referring to India - Russia ties. So
kindly don't mistake this with personal rapport with Putin. As per
reports, Modi reached Russia yesterday evening 5pm IST.
He
will also attend the 16th Annual Summit between India and Russia. Both
Modi and Putin left to Russian president's house which is 27 Kilometers
from Moscow. Putin provided Modi a private dinner.
Modi
and Putin are expected to sign lots of pacts and expand the
co-operation in lots of areas like defense, Nuclear energy, Trade and
Hydrocarbons. Besides bilateral issues, Modi and Putin are likely to
deliberate on a number of global issues which mostly include about
tackling terrorism.
