The rain battered temple of Tirumal
once again gets number of pilgrims. After the rain mishap, people are
slowly entering the temple. More than thousands of pilgrims participated
in annual Kartika Vanabhojanam. As per reports more than 60,000 people
attended the darshan of deity Lord Sri Venkateswara.
A
large number of pilgrims from Tamil Nadu also showed in the divine
town. Pilgrims from Tamil Nadu alone made 40% of the population. The TTD
conducted the annual Vanabhojanam at Paruveta Mandapam.
Special
prayers were offered during this event. After the prayers were offered,
they were also served annaprasadam. Regarding this TTD communications
officer T.Ravi Kumar said, "The pilgrim rush is more than last November.
Despite the unprecedented rainfall the pilgrims rushed to get the
divine stuff.
We have restored some
roads as we need to maintain the rush. Five compartments in the queue
complex were full and the general darshan was completed in five hours.
We are building the ghat road and once it is done it will withstand all
natural calamities."
