In a shock of turning events today
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party founder Arvind Kejiriwal has
said that his party is not in race for 2019 elections. He has said the
members of his party are not running after polls. He said his party
still may get an opportunity in Punjab just like Delhi.
He
said during a National council meeting that, "We are not here for power
politics. Most of them ask if AAP is in race for the year 2019. We are
not going to contest. We are not in any race. Delhi's win was a miracle.
We need to work hard and honest.
Don't
run after elections. My indication is that we are going to get same
opportunity in Punjab. Initially we had two ambitions. They are Tackling
corruption and Bringing Janlokpal and Swaraj. For the past ten months
we worked so hard and changed a lot.
I
can say we have achieved what Sheila Dikshit never did in 15 years. Even
Modi who has the whole nation never did that. In case of corruption,
there are no instances of corruption in Delhi for past few years. We
have bought everything under radar."
