AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was fondly called as
the 'Chief Executive Officer' (CEO) rather then the tag of Chief
Minister, when he was the CM of Undivided AP for 9 years, right from
1995 to 2004. Babu used to openly chide government officials and
employees in public meetings.
They
used to get an earful regarding the alleged negligence in discharging
their duties or demanding bribes from the public in getting their works
done. Naidu also used to bash government officials and staff during
Janmabhoomi programmes.

Naidu
struggled for nearly ten years to once again regain the confidence of
government employees and declared that he was a changed man now. After
remaining quiet for 16 months and maintaining ‘friendly relations’ with
employees, his recent actions are bringing back the “CEO” again.
Recently,
he chided revenue staff at a public meeting in Nellore and also issued
stern warning to all officials and the staff to move to Amaravathi
before June 2, 2016 has once again woken up. There are others who say
that it is employees who are forcing Babu to do this with them taking
him for granted!
