Employees of the Andhra
Pradesh government are now reportedly in arms against the Chief Minister
Chandrababu Naidu for exerting more and more pressure on them saying that they
should shift to the new capital city of Amaravati by June 2016.
Although employees generally had no objection to shifting near Vijayawada where a temporary Secretariat is coming up, they were really worried about their children’s future studying in Hyderabad and also regarding the challenge of maintaining two houses – one in Hyderabad and other in Vijayawada.
But at the same time, by demanding high speed trains between Hyderabad and Vijayawada, double HRA’s and a long wish list, they rubbed Naidu on wrong side. Even AP employees felt that those living and working in Hyderabad were the root cause for bifurcation with their ways and now they want all privileges!
The Naidu cabinet has discussed their practical problems and agreed for providing additional house rent allowance to those employees who will shifting to Vijayawada. But Babu has ignored other hefty demands and simply ordered them to move. Contrary to his nature earlier, Babu was very patient but again finally he cracked the whip!
