Amaravti Stone Foundation laying
ceremony happened on 22nd of October. The foundation ceremony was a
grand event and Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the inaugural
ceremony. Now the works have started and within one week, corruption has
also started.
This is going to be a
new capital and it has provided new platform for government officials
and politicians to loot huge money in an illegal way. The sanction of
layouts for constructions alone is costing them much.
Landlords
are already minting money with artificial land prices and officials are
making money by granting permission and layout plans. Recently an
official was caught red handed by he Anti-Corruption Bureau as he was
getting bribe to give green signal for a building plan. The govrnment
official was saikumar and he has accepted Rs.40000 as bribe from a
person in Krishna district.
This is a
surprise raid from ACB and they have confessed lots of instances have
happened and they were not brought to their notice. Seems the entire
project itself is a large scale corruption.
