Anti-Racism protest in Australia

Australia is once again facing a threat. Few months back, there has been lots of clash with respect to racism. Now once again there have been few scuffles between anti-Islam and anti-racism protesters.

Earlier there was a huge gathering at Sydney beach to mark the 10th anniversary of modern Australia's worst race riots. Special forces and Riot Police were already assembled to control the crowd on Cronulla beach. In December 11, 2005, some anti-Islam groups were blocked by courts from organizing a "memorial" rally.

The riot which happened some 10 years back saw a drunken white mob of thousands attack Arab-Australians. They later made huge ripples and it even caused retaliatory attacks. The anniversary for 10th year took place with some concerns. But still Police officials were scared that a violence may break out as the protesters were gathered in huge number.

During the anniversary, a Sri Lankan Christian shouted, "If you come here, integrate in Australian life and culture.. or shut up, pack up and get out." and this caused more protests and troubles within. However Police controlled the situation before riots burst out.
