Seems IIT students are getting more
benefits each day. A record number of more than 1000 students from IIT
Kharagpur have got placed in MNC's and other reputed companies. And
guess what? this is just the first phase of placement season. The total
number of offers have crossed more than 1100 in Engineering and
Management.

placements will begin soon. Regarding this news, Atal Ashutosh Agarwal
who is the Vice-President of Technology Students' Gymkhana of the IIT
said, "Last year it took 20 days to reach this milestone. This year we
achieved the target because of increase in number of students.
They
have been hired by organizations that have been visiting our campus
over the years. This placement numbers is just a testament to the fact
that IIT-Kharagpur students are the most wanted students across the
country. They have bought laurels to the college. "
Professor
Sudhirkumar Barai who is the chairman of the career development centre
at the IIT said, "Students usually don't get job in core companies. But
this time Core companies have placed everyone."
