MIM may be confined to only old city in Hyderabad but it is now slowly
and steadily gaining popularity. The party showed its presence in
Maharashtra giving shock to Shiv Sena.
Many are wondering how MIM which thrives on communal politics is
gaining popularity. According to the sources party popularity is
increasing as it organises daily durbar at Darussalam, MIM
headquarters.
In the durbar all MIM representatives meet people and hear their problems and give solutions. Now many are thronging the party office in hope of getting tickets in the upcoming GHMC elections. People cutting across religion,caste etc visit and tell their problems about water connection,ration card, oldage pensions,sewerage problems.
Hussain Meraj,Nampally MLA says “We, including Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi, are available in the office to hear their problems and resolve them by contacting the officers concerned, either on phone or writing a letter. If necessary, we personally visit the officers concerned to resolve the issues,”
MLC Altaf Hyder Rizwi shares “We also sit on Sunday for the convenience of the working classes so that they can visit the office to resolve their issues. This has been the practice since the party’s inception and after Sultan Salauddin Owaisi became an MLA, it gained more significance.Interestingly, we are witnessing considerable increase in the number of non-Muslim visitors, who are aspiring for party tickets,”
