Actor Nikhil had delivered three back
to back hits — Swamy Ra Ra, Karthikeya and Surya Vs Surya, and there by
the expectations on his recent release, Shankarabharanam increased by
several folds. The movie released in 600 plus screens across the globe
and collected 1.68 Crores share on Day one worldwide.
Considering
the huge release and big investments made on the film, it can be
considered as average performance. With not so encouraging talk, the
movie may close its business post first Monday. So the first weekend
will be very crucial days for the movie to mint maximum shares at the
Box Office.
In Overseas, the movie collected $26 K
on its release day [Premiers+Friday] on 89 screens and the opening was
below par. It is heading towards disaster in overseas and may be not be
possible for the involvedd parties to recover the rents and print costs.
