P.V.Mithun Reddy who is a lawmaker from
Andhra Pradesh was arrested at Chennai Airport day before yesterday for
assaulting an Air India employee at Tirupathi Airport. The incident
took place two months back. Mithun Reddy belongs to YSR Congress Party.
He
slapped Air India Manager Mr.Rajasekar as he refused to issue boarding
passes to Reddy's relatives for a flight from Tirupati to Delhi. He
refused as they were late. Reddy was sent to jail at Nellore on a
fourteen day remand.
However Jagan Mohan
Reddy denied the news and he said this was false allegation against
him. But CCTV footage showed that Reddy pushed the manager and he
threatened him. Medical report said that Rajasekhar had fractures due to
this assault.
The manager said some of
his supporters misbehaved with him. Mithun Reddy was was absconding
ever since he was booked on charges of assault. He was returning from
Bangkok last night along with another YSR Congress leader Madhusudan
Reddy when immigration officials at Chennai stopped him. They also
alerted AP police to arrest him.
