Telangana state has made lots of
promises to the people who have voted for them. But right now, everyone
gets a big 'Cheat' from them as they have taken a complete 'U' turn.
Recently we reported that the power prices have increased drastically
per unit. The conservation is completely missing.
Earlier
it was said that 'Energy Conservation' will be the priority. It should
be noted that there was power crisis few years back before bifurcation.
During that time a level was planned by the undivided state and a
proposal (by NREDCAP) to include energy conservation measures.
The
children were asked to save energy and they were taught lessons
accordingly. With that energy saving project it was said that at least
50 units will be saved per house hold.
But
now the long term measure is completely gone. Government must realize
that Energy Conservation is an important way of meeting all power
demands. But so far there has been no particular proposal regarding this
from the Government.
