Maharashtra Government has made it clear that they are going to appeal against the acquittal of actor Salman Khan in the 2002 hit and run case. The Maharashtra government informed this to court and they made it clear that they will appeal against the verdict in Bombay High Court.

Salman Khan on 28th September 2002 drove Toyota Land Cruiser and he ran over four sleeping persons. One of them even lost his life and the rest of them were injured during the incident.

On May 6th 2015 Mumbai Sessions court convicted Salman Khan as he is responsible for the murder. He was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and he was also asked to pay a fine of Rs.25,000.

But after six months on December 10th, a single  judge bench of the high court reversed the trial court verdict and acquitted him of all the charges leveled against him. But everyone knew the fact that it is Salman Khan who drove the car and he murdered an innocent life.
